Areas of Practice

 

Survey

A survey is an expert analysis of your current or prospective boat's condition.  It includes:

  • Check of the hull exterior for cosmetic damage and previous repair
  • Sounding the hull to find dry rot, delamination, or water absorption
  • Detailed list of equipment and gear aboard the boat
  • Sea trial
  • Mechanical inspection
  • Detailed list of findings and recommendations needed to bring the boat to safe operating condition according to Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards, and National Fire Protection Agency regulations.
  • A valuation of the boat with both market value and replacement value.


appraisal

An appraisal determines the fair market value of your vessel.  Here are some reasons you might get an appraisal:

consultation

A one-on-one informational session covering:

  • Questions about your boat's mechanical, electronic, and structural systems
  • Review of boat valuation process
